Mahoning Street, donated in 1982 by Dorothy Bennis Cooney as a memorial to her family, contains the following:
- Seven rooms of displays illustrating aspects of Punxsutawney area history. These include our Native American heritage, early settler history, leisure activities of the past, congregations of faith, ladies' and gentlemen's pursuits, a restored vintage bedroom and early radios and televisions.
- A separate area containing a large display of mining tools, farm implements, lumbering equipment and railroad history.
- A gift shop supplying Punxsutawney and groundhog souvenirs such as statues, paperweights, cookbooks, cookie cutters, mugs, note paper, cards, pennants, decals and Christmas ornaments.
- The Bennis House is now sporting items from individuals and teams who have contributed to the sports history of the region, amateur and professional, old and young from the distant and the recent past. These items will continue to be shown through Groundhog Day 2010 and into the summer of 2010.

HIGHLANDS INVITATIONAL GALLERIES Four rooms on the second floor devoted to changing exhibits of Museum collections or traveling exhibits. Currently featuring "Objects of Costume" an exhibit of varied clothing from the Society's own collections and that of others. Guided tours are scheduled at 1:30 and 3 p.m. on Thursdays and Sundays. Tours on Saturdays or other times may be arranged in advance by contacting Betty Jean Highlands at 814.938.2555. JENKS CONFERENCE ROOM, KURTZ HOSPITALITY CENTER and the RESCHINI ROOM All allow the Society to hold small and large functions and conduct workshops. GROUNDHOG DAY HISTORY MUSEUMSupported by the Punxsutawney Groundhog Club, the exhibit is currently being expanded. The exhibit includes the works of noted Pittsburgh cartoonist, Cy Hungerford. Currently there is a display to honor Punxsutawney's Men and Women of the Year, named annually at the Groundhog Banquet. Men, since 1952, and women, since 1957, are all named, some are pictured. - Collection of thousands of negatives from early local photographers spanning the years from the 1890's to the 1960's.

SNYDER HILL SCHOOL located on Snyder Hill Road, a former country school donated to the Society by the Postlewaite family, is used to conduct our "History Day Camp" and other educational workshops. MEMBERSHIP

Donations continue to be accepted to help with costs associated with the maintaining the property at 400 W. Mahoning Street purchased through the support of the 400 Club and the generosity of Mrs. Florence E. Helwig in memory of her parents. Membership in Club Grande remains open.
