Eberhart Building to become The Fairman Centre.
The three-story J.B. Eberhart Company Building was constructed in 1902 and was acknowledged as "the finest business building in this part of the State." On Friday, October 27, 2006,the Punxsutawney Regional Development Corporation (PRDC) and Chamber of Commerce were thrilled to hand over the ownership of this important historical property to Indiana University of Pennsylvania (IUP).
With a generous gift from the Roy and Alan Fairman families of Punxsutawney, IUP will restore the building, turning it once again into a viable economic enterprise for the region, offering prime retail and office space while retaining its historic integrity.
